What kind of conditions should I expect?
Please be prepared for the mountain weather. The Weather in Jasper can change quickly and our winter tours run up to -25C (-17F). Wind chill can change the temperature dramatically and you will be outside for the majority of your tour, if you have any doubts please call our office for specialist advice.
What kind of terrain is the Icewalk?
While the terrain is primarily downhill, guests should be prepared for uneven terrain, slide on bottom, move up and down stairs. If you can climb a ladder this tour is for you.

Is there a minimum age requirement?
Yes! the youngest child that can participate in the Icewalk is 6 years old.
Parents with infants in slings or backpacks unfortunately we are unable to accommodate due to the ability to hinge at the waist and move effectively through the canyon.
Can I bring my pet?
Due to the nature of the Maligne Canyon Icewalk it is unsafe for pets or service animals to patriciate in this tour.
What equipment does SunDog Provide?
We provide boots, ice cleats, and helmets as core equipment.
Poles and hand warmers are provided on request.
What should I wear?

To ensure that you enjoy the tour, please wear/bring:
· Snow pants are recommended for this tour and are mandatory if it is below -16C (3F).
· Otherwise, on warmer days, jeans / regular pants over long johns are okay.
· A warm sweater.
· A warm jacket.
· A hat and mitts.
· A neck warmer or scarf.
